Purchase and Use Terms and Conditions Version 2

Terms and conditions for the purchase and use of Tickets ("these Terms and Conditions") to the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 ("Event") are set out as follows by the Local Organizing Committee of World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 ("Committee"). A Ticket User who makes an application to purchase, receives, holds or uses Tickets will be deemed to have understood the content of and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.

Article 1. Definitions

The terms used in these Terms and Conditions shall have the following meanings or the meaning defined separately in these Terms and Conditions.
(1) "Venue" means a location managed by the Committee where a Session is held and entry to which requires a Ticket.
(2) "Official Ticket Vendor" means a third party business operator authorized by the Committee or WA to sell and provide Tickets to third parties.
(3) "Official Ticket Box" means a point of sales where Tickets are sold and delivered by the Committee. Official Ticket Boxes will be located in the vicinity of the Venue during the Event period.
(4) "Personal Information" means information regarding a living individual which can identify a specific individual.
(5) "Session" means a sports event or cultural event during a specific period of time for which Tickets are to be issued, and includes preliminaries, finals, the opening ceremony, the closing ceremony, etc.
(6) "Ticket" means a ticket for the Event issued by the Committee.
(7) "Ticket Buyer" means a person who purchases a Ticket in accordance with the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules. For the avoidance of doubt, it includes a person who purchases a resale Ticket through the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Resale Service and does NOT include a person who has sold the purchased Tickets to a third party through the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Resale Service.
(8) "Ticket Holder" means a person in legitimate possession of a Ticket, and includes persons who have received a Ticket from a Ticket Buyer or authorized third party in accordance with the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules.
(9) "Ticket User" means Ticket Buyers and Ticket Holders collectively.
(10) "WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules" means, collectively, these Terms and Conditions, the Personal Information Protection Policy of the Committee, and other rules, conditions, bylaws or regulations separately provided by the Committee in relation with the Tickets and/or entry into and exit from the Venue.
(11) "WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site" means the Ticket sale website of the Event which provides information on Tickets and opportunities to purchase Tickets directly from the Committee.
(12) "WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Resale Service" means the official online platform on which Ticket Buyers who have purchased a Ticket directly from the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site may resell their Tickets.
(13) "Force Majeure" means a natural disaster, outbreak of infectious disease, war, riot, revolt, civil commotion, terrorist attack, fire, explosion, flood, theft, damage caused by harmful intent, strike, access restriction, weather, injunctive act by a third party, emergency situation involving national defense or public health, act or regulation of the national or local government, and any other causes beyond the control of the Committee and/or Event Affiliates.
(14) "Event Affiliate" means collectively WA, JAAF, each NF, and the Committee.
(15) A "person" means an individual or a corporation, partnership or other person having legal personality.
(16) "JAAF" means the Japan Association of Athletics Federations.
(17) "NF" means the national athletics federation of each country or territory which is a member of WA and has oversight over athletics in each country.
(18) "WA" means World Athletics.

Article 2. Scope of Application of the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules

Purchase and use of Tickets for the Event as well as entry and exit from the Venue must be in compliance with the WCH Tokyo 25 WA Ticket Rules, and Ticket Users' rights relating to the Tickets shall be limited to the extent recognized by the Committee under the WCH Tokyo 25 WA Ticket Rules.

Article 3. Amendment of the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules

1. The Committee may amend the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules at its discretion as necessary. If the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules are amended, the Committee shall announce the amendments and date of amendment in advance by publication on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site or by other method deemed appropriate by the Committee.
2. All reasonable amendments under Article 3.1 above either beneficial to the Ticket User or does not violate the purpose of the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules are deemed agreed and accepted by Ticket Users.
3. The most recent version of the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules can be accessed at the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site.

Article 4. Content of Tickets

1. The ownership of all Tickets is vested in the Committee.
2. Ticket Holders may enter the Venue, spectate the Session, and use the seat or space specified by the Committee in accordance with the content of the Ticket and the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules.
3. Persons who are three years of age or older at the time of the Session must be a Ticket Holder. Persons under the age of three who do not use a seat may sit on the lap of an adult, up to one child per adult. If a person under the age of three uses a seat, the child must also be a Ticket Holder.
4. Tickets are issued by the Committee in accordance with the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules. The Ticket may be in the form of (1) a home printed Ticket where a Ticket issued as electronic data and printed out by the Ticket User, (2) an electronic Ticket issued through the electronic ticketing service specified by the Committee and displayed on the screen of a device, or (3) a Ticket issued by printing on paper (mainly as a same-day ticket).
5. Wheelchair seat tickets will be sold for each Session and at several price points. One caregiver may accompany one wheelchair seat Ticket Holder free of charge.
6. No refund or cancellation of Tickets will be accepted except as specifically provided in the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules or under laws and regulations. Tickets cannot be exchanged for a different type of Ticket, a Ticket for a different seat in the same Session, or for a Ticket for a different Session.
7. Except where permitted by the Committee, Tickets cannot be exchanged in case of loss, damage, theft, or inaccessibility on any device.
8. The number of Tickets which one person may purchase for one Session may be restricted. Whether such restrictions apply will be posted on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site; however, such information is subject to change.

Article 5. Purchase of Tickets

1. Tickets may be purchased from the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site or from an Official Ticket Vendor, or, through the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Resale Service, or, during the Event period, from an Official Ticket Box.
2. In order to purchase Tickets directly from the Committee in advance, the necessary items must be filled in on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site. The WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site is used when purchasing Tickets from the Committee. When purchasing Tickets from an Official Ticket Vendor, the purchase application procedures stipulated by such Official Ticket Vendor shall apply.
3. A person who purchases Tickets must not manipulate, alter, modify, or damage or attempt to manipulate, alter, modify, or damage the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site. The Committee may refuse a purchase of Tickets made by using a manipulated, altered, modified or damaged WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site. In such case, the Committee shall not be liable for such refusal of Ticket purchase.
4. Except as permitted by the Committee, a Ticket Buyer cannot change the content of or cancel a purchase after purchasing Tickets.
5. Please note that purchasing Tickets does not guarantee that entry into Japan will be granted.

Article 6. Malfunction when using the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site

The Committee shall not be liable for the entry of mistaken, incomplete, or unreadable letters or symbols entered in the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site, technical malfunction of the Internet, or a computer hardware or software malfunction interfering with the completion of the entering information into WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site.

Article 7. Change in Number of Sales, and Resumption of Sales

The total number of Tickets sold is determined by the Committee at its sole discretion and may be increased or decreased from time to time. The Committee reserves the right to terminate or resume Ticket sales at its discretion. Tickets that have already been purchased cannot be changed, cancelled, exchanged, or refunded, even if the total number of Tickets sold increases or decreases, or Ticket sales are suspended or resumed.

Article 8. Purchase of Tickets in Violation of WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules

1. The Committee may, at its discretion, reject or cancel any of the following ticket purchase applications:
(1) Purchase of Tickets made in violation of WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules or laws and regulations;
(2) Purchase of Tickets from persons who may resell, distribute, or provide tickets in violation of WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules; or
(3) Purchase of Tickets from persons who may have entered and submitted fraudulent or misleading information on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site.
2. Tickets can only be purchased from the Committee or Official Ticket Vendor, or through the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Resale Service. The Committee assumes no responsibility for Tickets purchased from parties other than the Official Ticket Vendor or purchased through resale without using the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Resale Service, may invalidate such tickets without refund, and may require the Ticket Holder to return the printed paper Tickets.

Article 9. Timing and Method of Payment

1. The Ticket Buyers who purchased tickets from the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site are deemed to agree to pay for the Ticket by a method provided by the Committee, such as by credit card (meaning payment by credit card, debit card or prepaid card). The Committee will only charge the Ticket Buyer for Tickets purchased. Ticket Buyers must pay the price by the payment method provided by the Committee by the payment date provided by the Committee. When purchasing Tickets from an Official Ticket Vendor, the timing and method of payment shall be in accordance with as separately stipulated by the Official Ticket Vendor.
2. The Committee may, at its discretion, provide the details of the method of payment for Tickets purchased from the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site.
3. In the event that a Ticket has been purchased but payment has not been received by the payment date provided by the Committee, the Committee reserves the right to invalidate the purchase upon expiration of the payment date. The Committee will not be liable for any damages to the Ticket Buyer or any third party as a result of the voiding of the purchase.

Article 10. Fee Burden

In addition to the face value of the Ticket, the Ticket Buyer who purchased Tickets from the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site shall pay any and all fees incurred in connection with transactions with the Committee, such as Ticket issuance, payment and receiving procedures. Further, when purchasing Tickets from an Official Ticket Vendor, it shall be in accordance with the procedures stipulated by such Official Ticket Vendor.

Article 11. Designation of Seats

1. The Committee, at its discretion, will pre-assign to the pre-sales Ticket Buyer a seat or space for spectating the Session, according to the type of Ticket purchased. The Ticket Buyer cannot request a change in their designated seat or space.
2. In the event that the Committee deems it necessary for the operation of the Event, such as Venue set-up and safety, the Committee may, at its discretion, change the pre-assigned seating or space in any Venue or Session to a location of equal or greater value.

Article 12. Ticket Prices

The price of Tickets will be determined by the Committee in Japanese yen. Ticket prices are inclusive of tax (including consumption tax), but do not include the fees provided in Article 10 (Fee Burden) of these Terms and Conditions which are charged in addition to the price of the Ticket.

Article 13. Receipt of Tickets

1. The Committee will issue Tickets to Ticket Buyers upon confirmation of full payment for Tickets purchased through the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site. The Committee may withhold the issuance of Tickets for which an application has been submitted until the Committee confirms the completion of payment of the price.
2. Ticket Buyer who purchased Tickets from the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site shall select their preferred method of receipt from the following. The Committee may designate a separate method of receiving Tickets, if necessary.
(1) Home-printed tickets where the Ticket Buyer prints out the ticket on a printer at home, etc.
(2) Downloading electronic Tickets through an electronic ticketing service designated by the Committee (to be received on a device)
3. Regardless of the method of receipt, no reproduction or duplication of the Ticket may be provided to a third party. Ticket Buyers who provide a reproduction or a duplicate of a Ticket to a third party violate the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules, and the Committee reserves the right to invalidate all Tickets purchased without refund.
4. The Committee is not responsible for Tickets not received or delayed except for reasons attributable to the Committee.
5. When purchasing Tickets from an Official Ticket Vendor, it shall be in accordance with the procedures stipulated by such Official Ticket Vendor.

Article 14. Obligation of Ticket Holder

1. The Ticket Holder understands and agrees that there may be risks involved in spectating the Session, such as heat stroke, coronavirus disease and other infectious diseases, etc.
2. The Ticket Holder is responsible for the safety of him/herself and any accompanying children, and safety of their property.
3. The Ticket Holder is responsible for the conduct of the accompanying children and their compliance with the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules.
4. Ticket Holders shall comply with all health and safety regulations issued by the Committee, all directives of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and all applicable laws and regulations. This includes screening, testing, vaccination and other provisions for infectious diseases.

Article 15. Spectating

1. Please allow plenty of time to arrive before the Session start time, taking into account the time required to travel to the Venue and security screening. Depending on the level of congestion, it may take some time before a Ticket Holder can enter the Venue due to security inspections and ticket confirmation. If a Ticket Holder arrives late to the Venue for reasons other than those attributable to the Committee, such as personal reasons or transportation delays, the Committee will not refund the Ticket.
2. The Committee reserves the right to restrict or delay entry of Ticket Holders for reasons of Event operations and securities, such as if the preceding Session is not completed on schedule. The Committee will not be liable for any disadvantage to the Ticket Holder caused by such entry restrictions or delays, and will not exchange or refund Tickets.

Article 16. Entry

1. Ticket Holders must present a valid Ticket to the Venue staff in order to enter the Venue and spectate the Sessions. Subject to Article 4.3 all accompanying children must be Ticket Holders.
2. Ticket Holders must respond to requests from Committee staff, Venue attendants, police officers, etc. to verify their identity or to confirm that they are in possession of such Tickets in accordance with the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules.

Article 17. Security Inspection

1. The Committee conducts security inspections on Ticket Holders and their personal belongings to ensure their safety and smooth implementation of the Event at the Session when entering and after entering, as necessary. In addition, if requested by the Committee, Ticket Holders must cooperate with the Committee in the provision of identification, etc.
2. If a Ticket Holder refuses to cooperate with security inspections, he/she will not be allowed to enter the Venue, and if he/she has already entered, they will be required to leave immediately. In such cases, no refund will be made towards the Ticket held by the Ticket Holder.

Article 18. No Re-entry

Unless otherwise authorized by the Committee, Ticket Holders who leave the Venue will not be allowed to re-enter with the same Ticket.

Article 19. Possession of Valid Tickets

1. Ticket Holders must keep their Tickets in their possession at all times from the time Ticket Holders enter the Venue until the time they leave, and must present their Tickets when asked to do so by Committee staff, Venue attendants, or police officers. Failure to present the Ticket may result in the Ticket Holder's removal from the Venue.
2. Any person who enters the Venue using a Ticket obtained in violation of the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules will be subject to removal from the Venue by the Committee, as well as further legal action.

Article 20. Prohibited Items

1. The Committee may determine prohibited items that Ticket Holders cannot bring into the Venue. Ticket Holders are not permitted to enter the Venue with any item in their possession that violates such prohibitions. If a Ticket Holder is found to be in possession of a prohibited item at the Venue, he/she may be required to immediately relinquish the item or leave the Venue. If the Committee discovers that a Ticket Holder is in possession of an item that violates laws or regulations, the Committee will notify the relevant authorities.
2. The list of prohibited items will be established by the Committee in a timely manner and will also be attached to the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules. The Committee may change the contents of such list of prohibited items, and may also specify prohibited items for particular Sessions.

Article 21. Prohibited Acts

If a Ticket Holder is found to have committed any of the following acts, the Committee may, at its discretion, refuse entry to the Venue or ask the Ticket Holder to leave the Venue. In such cases, no refund will be made for the Ticket held by the Ticket Holder. A more precise list of prohibited acts will be established by the Committee in a timely manner and will also be attached to the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules. The Committee may change the contents of such prohibited acts, and may also specify prohibited acts for particular Sessions.
. Any act that may interfere with the conduct of the Session
. Any act that may interfere with the spectating of the Session
. Any act that may cause damage to life, body, or property
. Any act that may harm or interfere with the management and operation of the Venue
. Any act that may be regarded as ‘ambush’ marketing that is prohibited under Article 30 (Prohibition of Use for Promotional Purposes), or any other act that may harm the rights of the Event including the WA's and Committee’s sponsors
. Any act that is in violation of laws and regulations
. Any act that is in violation of WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules
. Other prohibited acts as determined by the Committee from time to time

Article 22. Photography/Filming

1. Please note that the Sessions are public events and that the manner and behavior of the Ticket Holder in and around the Venue where the Session is held is inherently public, and that privacy regarding the behavior of the Ticket Holder during the Session cannot be guaranteed.
2. The Ticket Holder and any other persons attending the Event agree to be photographed, filmed, identified, and recorded by any other method by the Committee, WA, or any third party authorized by the Committee or WA. In addition, the Ticket Holder and any other persons attending the Event agree that the Committee, WA, or any third party authorized by the Committee or WA may use still images, videos, recordings, etc. that include the voice, image, and likeness of the Ticket Holder or any other person attending the Event, in perpetuity, for commercial purposes or otherwise, in live or recorded video displays, broadcasts, streaming, uploading, posting or other transmission or recording, photographs, or in any other media technologies existing now or in the future, free of charge or any compensation.
3. Ticket Holders may take photographs or record videos of the Event for private and non-commercial use only. However, this may be restricted in some areas or Sessions.
4. Ticket Holder may record, upload, post, or transmit any audio, still image, video, data, description, or results of the Event, in whole or a part of the Event, for his/her private and non-commercial use only. However, unless authorized in writing by WA, it is strictly prohibited to upload, post, send, or otherwise disseminate audio, still images, video, data, descriptions, results and statistics of the Event, in whole or in part, via the Internet, radio, television or any other current or future media, or engage in any activity which supports others who commit such acts for the purpose of any sort of public access, advertising, gambling, or any other commercial purpose.

Article 23. Prohibition of Resale

1. Ticket Holder may not resell Tickets to third parties, and may not offer or advertise Ticket resale on the Internet, in newspapers, ticket stores, or any other place or media, except when specifically authorized by the Committee or WA or as provided in Article 24 (Exception to the Prohibition of Resale). The Ticket Holder may not offer Tickets to third parties together with or as part of other goods or services, unless specifically authorized by Committee, WA, or the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules. This includes the act of transferring the rights recognized or represented by the Ticket to a third party, such as providing Ticket information like the QR code of the Ticket or transferring the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket ID to a third party.
2. Tickets sold, offered for sale or advertised in violation of the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules will be invalid and cancelled. The Committee may request the return of Tickets that are invalid. Invalid Tickets will not be exchanged or refunded.
3. Unless specifically authorized under Article 24 (Exception to the Prohibition of Resale), Tickets may not be purchased from persons other than the Official Ticket Vendors. The Committee assumes no responsibility for Tickets purchased from parties other than Official Ticket Vendor or purchased through resale without using the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Resale Service.
4. In order to prevent unauthorized resale, all Ticket Holders agree in advance to the following.
(1) If the Committee discovers that Tickets are being sold, offered for sale or advertised by a third party (including retailers and online shops), the Committee may ask the third party to disclose the contents of the Ticket and the Personal Information of the Ticket Holder who sold the Ticket, and the Ticket Holder may not make an objection to such disclosure against the Committee or the third party.
(2) If the Committee discovers that Tickets are being sold, offered for sale, or advertised on a ticket resale site, online auction, online flea market, social media, other online services, or other services, the Committee may (i) request the service provider to disclose the contents of the Ticket and the Personal Information of the Ticket Holder who sold, offered for sale, or advertised the Ticket, and (ii) request, on behalf of the Ticket Holder, that the service provider cease providing the Ticket and to cease posting information regarding the Ticket. The Ticket Holder may not make an objection against the Committee or the service provider with respect to such disclosure of information, suspension of Ticket sales or suspension of posting of Ticket information.
5. Unauthorized resale of a Ticket may be subject to criminal penalties, and the Committee will report such resale, offer to sell or advertisement to the police upon discovery immediately.

Article 24. Exception to the Prohibition of Resale

1. Transfer of Tickets purchased directly from the Committee to a third party is only permitted for resale at the purchase price using the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Resale Service. The transfer of the Tickets purchased from an Official Ticket Vendor to a third party shall be in accordance with the procedures stipulated by such Official Ticket Vendor.
2. The Committee may verify the identity of the Ticket Holder at the Venue entrance or inside the Venue or confirm that Ticket Holders are in possession of their Tickets in accordance with the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules. If the identity of the Ticket Holder cannot be verified, or if it is determined by the Committee that the Ticket Holder is not a person authorized to hold the Ticket, that person may be asked to leave the Venue.

Article 25. Change in Event Scheduling

1. The Event and Session’s scheduling may be moved up, delayed, cancelled, suspended, or postponed at the discretion of the Committee without notice due to weather, Event management conditions, safety assurance, or Force Majeure. The Committee shall not be liable for any losses incurred by Ticket Users resulting from changes in the Event’s scheduling, except as specified in the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules.
2. The Ticket User understands and agrees that all travel plans and arrangements are the Ticket Users sole responsibility, including airfare and hotel reservations, are subject to the possibility of changes to the Event and its Sessions under Article 25.1, and that the schedule and order of competition may differ from those previously scheduled.
3. In the event of postponement of the Event and Sessions, the Committee will, at its sole discretion, determine whether any Tickets will be refunded.

Article 26. Cancellation of Event and Refunds

In the event of cancellation of the Event and Sessions, the Ticket Buyer will be granted a refund in accordance with WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules.

Article 27. Subject of Refund

1. In the event of cancellation of the Event due to any reason stated in the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules, Ticket Buyers may receive a refund up to the face value of the Ticket. If a Ticket refund is granted, the Committee will refund the face value of the Ticket to the Ticket Buyer in accordance with the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules and other proceedings determined by the Committee. Various fees (including the fees provided at Article 10 (Fee Burden)) are not subject to refund. Ticket refunds are the sole Remedy and no exchanges, changes, cancellations or returns of Tickets will be permitted.
2. Ticket refunds will only be made to the Ticket Buyer who purchased Tickets directly from the Committee or purchased resale Tickets through the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Resale Service. Ticket Holders who are not a Ticket Buyer are not eligible for refunds. In addition, Ticket Buyers who purchased Tickets from Official Ticket Vendors are not eligible to receive refunds directly from the Committee.

Article 28. Method of Refund

If a Ticket Buyer is entitled to a refund from the Committee, the Ticket Buyer must apply for the refund on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site by the date specified by the Committee. When applying for a refund, at least the type and number of Tickets subject to be refunded must be specified. Details will be determined by the Committee, and posted on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site at the appropriate time.

Article 29. Limitations to the Number of Event Participants

In the event of Force Majeure, the Committee may limit the number of participants for this Event. In such cases, the Committee will determine the Venue's capacity and seating configuration, and the handling of Tickets that the participation is limited will be separately determined in the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules.

Article 30. Prohibition of Use for Promotional Purposes

1. Tickets may not be used for advertising, sales, PR, auction, promotions or other marketing purposes (including in connection with an event, advertisement, contest or offering as a reward, or including as part of a hospitality or travel package), with or without commercial benefit, except as contractually permitted by the Committee, WA or a third party authorized by the Committee or WA.
2. Except as contractually permitted by the WA or a third party authorized by the WA, no person may transfer, use, or otherwise dispose of the Ticket in any manner that would lead to be believed that they sponsor or are associated with the Event or any part of the Event.
3. Unless expressly authorized in writing by WA, Ticket Users are strictly prohibited from using, wearing, possessing, distributing or holding items for promotional or commercial purposes or from selling or offering to sell of any beverage, food, souvenir, clothing, or other items in any Venue. All such items may be removed or confiscated by the Committee without compensation to the Ticket User.

Article 31. Compliance with Personal Information Protection Policy

Ticket User agrees that his/her Personal Information submitted to the Committee will be processed in accordance with the Committee's "Personal Information Protection Policy". In addition, the Ticket User shall agree that his/her Personal Information submitted to the Committee will be shared with WA for business analytics purposes and marketing purposes, (this includes purchasers of Tickets from a Ticket Buyer through the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Resale Service) and will be stored in accordance with WA's personal information protection policy and the Committee's "Personal Information Protection Policy". Ticket User also agrees that images and recordings taken by Sony (an official sponsor of the Event) will be used for non-commercial purposes (i.e. to communicate the Sony’s association with WA and the Event) and held in accordance with its privacy policy. Article 32. Exclusion of Antisocial Forces

If the person who intends to purchase a Ticket, person applied for the Ticket, Ticket Buyer, or Ticket Holder is determined by the Committee to be related to a criminal organization, a member of a criminal organization, an associate member of a criminal organization, a company related to a criminal organization, a corporate racketeer (sokaiya) that threatens or interferes with a general meeting of shareholders, an activist who seeks to gain illegal profits by posing as a social activist, an activist who seeks to gain illegal profits by posing as a a political activist, or a criminal organization-related group, similar group, or individual with expertise (so-called antisocial forces), the Committee will refuse to sell or deliver Tickets to such a person, refuse admission to the Venue and spectating of the Event, or order such a person to leave the Venue.

Article 33. Invalid Ticket

Any Ticket acquired, transferred, resold or used in advertising in violation of the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules shall become void without refund and all rights granted or represented by such Ticket shall cease to be valid. The invalid Ticket will not allow the Ticket Holder to enter the Venue and to spectate the Event.

Article 34. Exemption from Liability

1. The Committee, Official Ticket Vendor and Event Affiliates shall not be liable for loss, theft, damage or defacement of Tickets, and the Committee will not reissue Tickets in case of such loss, theft, damage or defacement.
2. The Event cannot be viewed and entry into the Venue cannot be gained with a forged Ticket or invalid Ticket, and the Committee shall not be liable in relation with the acquisition of forged Tickets or invalid Tickets.
3. Ticket Holders are responsible for making their own arrangements for transportation, accommodation, food and drink for spectating the Event, and the Committee, Official Ticket Vendors and Event Affiliates shall not be liable in relation with the same.
4. The Committee will provide first aid to the extent possible in the event of illness or injury during the Event, but except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Committee shall not be responsible for the content or results of the treatment.
5. The Committee, Official Ticket Vendor, owner and manager of the Venue, other contractors of the Committee, the sponsor of WA, the sponsor of the Committee, the Event’s commercial affiliates or Event Affiliates involved in the operation of the Event shall not be liable for damage incurred by Ticket Holders while spectating a Session, except where such damage is caused by reasons directly attributable to them. This exemption from liability includes:
(1) damage resulting from the appropriate conduct of the Event;
(2) damage resulting from acts of the Ticket User in violation of the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules; and
(3) damage resulting from a Force Majeure.

Article 35. Force Majeure

The Committee shall not be liable for inability to perform its obligations under the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules if such inability is caused by a Force Majeure.

Article 36. Limitation of Liability

If a Ticket User incurs damage due to a violation of the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules by the Committee or the Official Ticket Vendor, to the extent permissible under laws and regulations, the liability of the Committee for such damage shall not exceed the total amount of the face value of the Tickets purchased or held by the Ticket User. Further, the Committee, Official Ticket Vendor, the Event Affiliates, the sponsor of WA, the sponsor of the Committee and/or Event commercial affiliates shall not be liable for any special damage, indirect damage, or consequential damage incurred by the Ticket User as a result of the Committee or Official Ticket Vendor's violation of the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules; provided, however, that this limitation shall not apply in case of willful misconduct or gross negligence by the Committee, Official Ticket Vendor, the Event Affiliates, the sponsor of WA, the sponsor of the Committee and/or Event commercial affiliates in relation with such violation.

Article 37. Effectiveness of Surviving Provisions

Even if any provision of the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules becomes invalid for any reason, the other provisions shall continue to remain in effect.

Article 38. Language

These Terms and Conditions are prepared in the Japanese language. If there is any discrepancy between the Japanese version of these Terms and Conditions and the translation into English or other languages provided by the Committee or Official Ticket Vendor, the provisions of the Japanese version shall always prevail.

Article 39. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

1. The WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules shall governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
2. Any dispute arising between the Committee and a Ticket User regarding the Tickets or the WCH Tokyo 25 Ticket Rules shall be resolved upon discussion in good faith between the parties.
3. In the case of Article 38.2 above, if a resolution cannot be reached through discussion, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over such dispute.

Terms and conditions for the use of World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 Ticket ID (these "Terms and Conditions") pertaining to the sale of Tickets to the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 ("Event") are set out as follows by the Local Organizing Committee of World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 ("Committee").

Article 1 Definitions

The terms used in these Terms and Conditions shall have the following meanings or the meaning defined separately in these Terms and Conditions.
(1) "Ticket" means a ticket for the Event issued by the Committee.
(2) "Ticket ID" means a personal account issued by the Committee that is required by Customers when accessing the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site.
(3) "Ticket ID Registrant" means a Customer who has completed Ticket ID registration under these Terms and Conditions.
(4) "WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site" means the Ticket sale website of the Event which provides information on Tickets and opportunities to purchase Tickets directly from the Committee.
(5) "Authentication Method" means the method of confirming the identity of the Ticket ID Registrant. The Committee uses an authentication method that requires the entering of an e-mail address and password.
(6) "Terms and Conditions Consent Page" means the page that appears when connecting from the Device Used to the ID registration screen of the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site established by the Committee, where a Customer is asked whether or not he/she consents to the application of these Terms and Conditions.
(7) "Device Used" means the device used by the Customer (computer, smartphone, tablet).

Article 2 Purpose

1. These Terms and Conditions stipulate the basic matters concerning the registration, use, handling of personal information, and other matters related to Ticket IDs to be registered by customers or prospective customers ("Customers") to the Event.
2. Customers should take sufficient time to read and understand the contents of these Terms and Conditions before registering for a Ticket ID. After the Customer consents to the application of these Terms and Conditions on the Terms and Conditions Consent Page on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site in accordance with the provisions of Article 3.1, these Terms and Conditions shall apply to the Customer's provision of personal information and other information necessary for the Ticket ID registration, and registration, management, use, cancellation and all other matters related to the Ticket ID.

Article 3 Ticket ID Registration

1. When applying for their Ticket ID registration, Customers must agree to the application of these Terms and Conditions on the Terms and Conditions Consent Page that appears after connecting to the ID registration screen on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site from their Device Used. Ticket ID registration is completed when the Customer has provided his/her name, e-mail address, and other information necessary for the Ticket ID registration in the manner prescribed by the Committee. Thereafter, the Ticket ID Registrant may use said Ticket ID to use the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site.
2. Ticket IDs cannot be issued to Customers under the age of 18.

Article 4 Authentication, etc.

1. Ticket ID Registrants must verify their identity by authenticating with their e-mail address and password to use the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site. Ticket ID Registrants whose identity cannot be verified cannot use the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site.
2. When the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site is accessed via the Authentication Method specified in Article 4.1 above, the Committee may deem such use to be by the Ticket ID Registrant using the e-mail address and password in question.
3. Ticket ID Registrants shall immediately change the e-mail address provided to the Committee at the time of the Ticket ID registration to an e-mail address under their control when the e-mail address is no longer under their control. The Committee shall not be liable for any damages in the event that the Ticket ID Registrant or a third party suffers damage due to the Ticket ID Registrant's failure or delay in changing his/her e-mail address, except in the cases where such damag is caused by the willful misconduct or gross negligence of the Committee.

Article 5 Management of Ticket ID and Password

1. The Customer shall avoid setting a password that is easily guessed by a third party, such as his/her date of birth, address, or telephone number.
2. If a Ticket ID Registrant forgets his/her registered e-mail address, he/she may inquire about such e-mail address in accordance with the procedures established by the Committee. If a Ticket ID Registrant forgets his/her password, he/she may reset such password in accordance with the procedures established by the Committee.
3. Ticket ID Registrants shall manage their Ticket IDs and passwords at their own responsibility and the Ticket ID Registrant shall not allow the use of, nor shall the Ticket ID be lent, transferred to, or change the name thereof to a third party.
4. The Committee shall not be liable for any damage incurred by the Ticket ID Registrant or a third party due to the Ticket ID Registrant setting a password that is easily guessed by a third party, or due to insufficient management or error in use of the Ticket ID or password by the Ticket ID Registrant, or unauthorized use by a third party, except in cases where such damage is caused by the willful misconduct or gross negligence of the Committee.
5. In case Ticket ID or password is lost or theft, Ticket ID or password becomes known to a third party, or Ticket ID or password is found to be used by a third party, the Ticket ID Registrant shall immediately take appropriate measures such as changing the password or deactivating the Ticket ID.
6. The Committee shall not be liable for any damage incurred by the Customer or third parties in the registration of Ticket ID by the Customer or in the use of Ticket ID by the Ticket ID Registrant, except in cases where such damage is caused by the willful misconduct or gross negligence of the Committee.
7. The Committee shall not be liable for any loss or damage incurred by the Customer as a result of omissions, incorrect entries, or other errors in the information entered by the Customer when registering for a Ticket ID.

Article 6 Suspension of Use of Ticket ID by the Customer

1. Ticket ID Registrants who wish to discontinue use of their Ticket IDs may apply for deactivation of use through the contact information specified on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site. After the deactivation procedure is completed, the Ticket ID will no longer be available and the purchased Tickets will be voided. In such a case, no refunds will be made for such voided Tickets.
2. If a Ticket ID Registrant wishes to register a Ticket ID again after the Ticket ID has been deactivated, a new registration procedure must be completed. It should be noted that even if Customers register for a new Ticket ID, the personal information and ticket purchase history registered before the deactivation will not be transferred.

Article 7 Compliance with Personal Information Protection Policy

The Customer consents to his/her personal information provided to the Committee being used in accordance with the Committee's "Personal Information Protection Policy". The Customer agrees that any personal information provided to the Committee may be shared with WORLD ATHLETICS ("WA") for business analysis or marketing purposes, and shall agree that such information shall be handled by WA under the "Privacy Policy" set forth by WA.

Article 8 Prohibited Acts

When registering and using Ticket ID pursuant to these Terms and Conditions, the Customer shall not conduct any act that falls under any of the following items:
(1) violating or encouraging violations of laws and regulations, court judgments, decisions or orders, or legally binding administrative measures;
(2) fraud or threats against the Committee, other Customers, or third parties;
(3) acts against public order and morals;
(4) infringing copyrights, patent rights, utility model rights, design rights, trademarks or other intellectual property rights, trade secrets, limited provision data, image rights, privacy, reputation or other rights or interests of the Committee, other Customers or third parties (including acts that directly or indirectly cause such infringement);
(5) any act that may be considered 'ambush marketing' (including any act that appears to be a sponsorship or affiliation relationship between the Event, the Committee or WA) or any other act that may harm the rights of the Event including the Event's partners and sponsors;
(6) providing any of the following information to the Committee without its prior written consent:
① information containing excessively violent or cruel language;
② information containing computer viruses or other harmful computer programs;
③ information containing language that defames or damages the reputation of the Committee;
④ information containing excessively obscene language;
⑤ information containing language that promotes discrimination;
⑥ information containing language that promotes suicide or self-harm;
⑦ information containing language that promotes the inappropriate use of drugs;
⑧ information containing anti-social language; or
⑨ information containing language that may cause discomfort to others;
(7) placing an excessive burden on the facilities used to operate the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site, acts that impair the operation of the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site by the Committee, or other acts that interfere with the operation of the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site by the Committee, or acts that impede its operation;
(8) unauthorized access to the Committee's network or systems, unauthorized rewriting or deletion of information stored in the facilities related to the operation of the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site, and other acts that may cause damage to the Committee;
(9) using or providing harmful programs such as computer viruses through or in connection with the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site;
(10) using the Ticket ID or password of another Ticket ID Registrant;
(11) registering a Ticket ID after entering false information or impersonating another Ticket ID Registrant or a fictitious third party;
(12) acts that may lead to the provision of benefits to antisocial forces, etc.;
(13) acts that are contrary to the purpose and objectives of these Terms and Conditions and the Ticket ID; or
(14) any other acts that the Committee deems inappropriate in addition to the preceding items.

Article 9 Suspension of use of Ticket ID

1. If the Ticket ID Registrant violates any of the provisions of Article 8 above or other provisions of these Terms and Conditions and the violation is not corrected despite the Committee having given a reasonable period of time to correct the situation, the Committee may suspend or revoke the use of a Ticket ID by the Ticket ID Registrant.
2. The Committee shall not be liable for any damage caused by the suspension or revocation of the use of a Ticket ID by the Ticket ID Registrant in accordance with Article 9.1 above.
3. The Committee may take measures such as temporarily suspending the use of the Ticket ID by the Ticket ID Registrant in any of the following cases. The provisions of Article 9.2 above shall apply mutatis mutandis to the case where a Ticket ID Registrant incurs damage as a result of measures taken by the Committee in accordance with this Article 9.3:
(1) an incorrect Ticket ID password is entered more than a certain number of times;
(2) the Committee determines that there is an unauthorized login or the possibility of an unauthorized login; or
(3) the Committee deems it necessary to do so.
4. The Committee may temporarily suspend the use of Ticket IDs due to system maintenance or failure, etc. Except in the case of an emergency or unavoidable circumstances, the Committee will notify the public in advance by posting a notice on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site or by any other method deemed appropriate by the Committee. The Committee shall not be liable for any damage incurred by the Ticket ID Registrant as a result of the suspension or interruption of the use of the Ticket ID in accordance with this Article 9.4, except in the case where such damage is caused by the willful misconduct or gross negligence of the Committee.

Article 10 Amendment of these Terms and Conditions

If any of the following items applies, the Committee may amend these Terms and Conditions by announcing or notifying Customers in advance of the amendment and the date of modification in a manner the Committee deems appropriate, and the amended Terms and Conditions shall apply on and after the date of amendment:
(1) the amendment of these Terms and Conditions is compatible with the general interest of the Customer; or
(2) the amendment of these Terms and Conditions is not contrary to the purpose for which the contract for the use of the Ticket ID was executed under these Terms and Conditions, and is reasonable in light of the necessity of the amendment, the reasonableness of the content after the amendment, and other circumstances relating to the amendment.

Article 11 Compensation

1. If a Customer causes damage to the Committee as a result of a breach of these Terms and Conditions, the Customer shall be liable to compensate the Committee for any damage incurred.
2. If a Customer violates these Terms and Conditions and causes damage to a third party, the Customer shall compensate the third party for the damage and shall not involve the Committee in any dispute with the third party.
3. If the Committee is liable to a Customer for damages in connection with the Customer's use of the Ticket ID or the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site under these Terms and Conditions, the Committee shall be liable only for ordinary and direct damage, and shall in no event be liable for indirect, special, incidental or consequential damage or lost profit or loss of opportunity to use.
4. Notwithstanding these Terms and Conditions, if any damage incurred by a Customer is caused by the willful misconduct or gross negligence of the Committee, Article 11.3 above and any other provisions of these Terms and Conditions that exempt the Committee from liability shall not apply.

Article 12 Termination of Ticket ID

1. The Ticket ID and use of the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site by the Customer shall automatically terminate on Friday, December 26, 2025; provided, however, that the Committee may change the closing date of the Ticket ID and the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site at any time by announcing the change in advance on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site or by any other method that the Committee deems appropriate.
2. The Committee shall not be liable for any damage incurred by the Customer due to the termination of the use of the Ticket ID and/or WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site in accordance with Article 12.1 above.
3. After the use of the Ticket ID is terminated in accordance with Article 12.1 above, all personal information the Committee collected from the Customer upon registration of the Ticket ID will be deleted.

Article 13 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
2. Any dispute arising between the Committee and the Customer in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved upon discussions in good faith between the parties.
3. In the case of Article 13.2 above, if a resolution cannot be reached through discussions, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over such dispute.

Supplementary Provisions
These Terms and Conditions shall come into effect on August 5, 2024.

Terms and conditions for the official ticket resale service of World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 (these "Terms and Conditions") pertaining to the Resale of Tickets to the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 ("Event") are set out as follows by the Local Organizing Committee of World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 ("Committee"). These Terms and Conditions are issued pursuant to Articles 23 and 24 of the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 Ticket Purchase and Use Terms and Conditions (“Ticket Purchase and Use Terms and Conditions”) which are incorporated into these Terms and Conditions and in the case of any conflict between them these Terms and Conditions will prevail.

Article 1. Definitions

The terms used in these Terms and Conditions shall have the following meanings.
Unless otherwise defined, the definitions of terms shall be in accordance with the Ticket Purchase and Use Terms and Conditions, and World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 Ticket ID Use Terms and Conditions (“Ticket ID Use Terms and Conditions”).
(1) "Services" means the services through which Tickets purchased on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site may be resold on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site.
(2) "Resale" means, with respect to the Services, the transfer of Tickets purchased on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site from Ticket Buyers, who hold the rights to those Tickets, to other customers.
(3) "Resellers" means the Ticket Buyers who wish to transfer or have already transferred Tickets for a Session of the Event through the Services.

Article 2. Tickets Eligible for the Services

1. Tickets eligible for the Services (“Resale Tickets”) are limited to those listed by the Resellers from the categories listed below (including wheelchair seats), that have been purchased by credit card on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site. 2. Regardless of the number of Tickets purchased by the Resellers on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site, the number of Tickets eligible for the Services is limited to the number of Tickets listed by the Resellers on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site.

Article 3. Listing and the Completion of the Resale Transaction under the Services

1. In accordance with these Terms and Conditions, the Ticket Buyers may place their Resale Tickets at the Service for Resale within the Resale listing period. The Resale listing period is as follows:
-From 18:00 on Friday, June 20, 2025, to 17:59 on Friday, September 5, 2025 (JST)
2. The Services does not, under any circumstance, allow the cancellation of a listing of the Resale Ticket for Resale.
3. The Services do not guarantee the completion of Resale transactions for all Tickets.
4. If the Tickets listed for Resale by the Resellers are not purchased by the deadline specified, the Resale transaction will be deemed incomplete, and the Resale listing by such Resellers will automatically expire.
5. If the Resale transaction is completed, the Committee shall notify such fact to the Resellers by e-mail to the e-mail address registered by such Resellers. In addition, even if the Resale transaction is not completed, an email notification to such effect will be sent to the Resellers to the email address registered by such Resellers.
6. Even if a Ticket is listed for Resale by the Resellers, it may not be eligible for Resale by reasons attributable to the Resellers (e.g., breach of these Terms and Conditions, the Ticket Purchase and Use Terms and Conditions or the Ticket ID Use Terms and Conditions). In such case, the Resale will be terminated by the Committee without prior notice. In addition, if the Resale transaction has already been completed, such Resale may be cancelled by the Committee.
7. Once a Resale transaction has been completed, the Resellers may not change or cancel the Resale for any reason.
8. The Committee shall not be held liable for any failure to complete the Resale transaction.

Article 4. Payment

1. After the Resale transaction is completed, the Committee shall refund to the Resellers the amount paid for the Tickets, which were paid when the Resellers purchased the resold Tickets on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site, to the credit card used to purchase the Tickets by the Resellers. Fees paid at the time of purchase by the Resellers are not refundable.
2. If there are any circumstances that make it difficult to issue a refund attributable to the Resellers, such as instances in which the credit card used to purchase the Tickets cannot be used, and if such circumstances are not solved during the reasonable period set by the Committee (i.e., until December 26, 2025), the Resellers shall be deemed to waive their right to the refund of the amount paid for the Tickets.

Article 5. Refund Policy

If a Ticket for a Session is refunded prior to the completion of a Resale transaction due to the cancellation of the Session, etc., or if such Session is excluded from the Resale by the Committee or WA, the Resale listing by the Resellers shall be automatically cancelled without prior notice.

Article 6. Amendment of these Terms and Conditions

1. The Committee may amend these Terms and Conditions at its discretion as necessary. If these Terms and Conditions are amended, the Committee shall announce the amendments and date of amendment in advance by publication on the WCH Tokyo 25 Official Ticket Site or by other method deemed appropriate by the Committee.
2. All reasonable amendments under Article 6.1 above either beneficial to the Ticket User or not violating the purpose of these Terms and Conditions are deemed agreed and accepted by Ticket Users.

Article 7. Disclaimers.

1. If the Resellers cause damage to the Committee as a result of a breach of these Terms and Conditions, the Resellers shall be liable to compensate the Committee for any damage incurred.
2. If the Resellers violate these Terms and Conditions and causes damage to a third party, the Resellers shall compensate the third party for the damage and shall not involve the Committee in any dispute with the third party.
3. If the Committee is liable to the Resellers for damages in connection with the Resellers’ use of the Services, except for willful misconduct or grossly negligent acts by the Committee, the Committee’s liability shall be limited to the price of the Tickets and fees. The Committee shall in no event be liable for indirect, special, incidental or consequential damage or lost profit or loss of opportunity to use.
4. The Committee shall not be held liable for any damage whatsoever arising out of additions or changes to the contents of the Services, or from the suspension or termination thereof. Similarly, the Committee shall not be held responsible for any decrease in the display speed of or inability to access the Services due to excessive access, inability to access other services linked to the Services, or any other unforeseen cause.

Article 8. Language

These Terms and Conditions are prepared in the Japanese language. If there is any discrepancy between the Japanese version of these Terms and Conditions and its translation into English or other languages provided by the Committee or Official Ticket Vendor, the provisions of the Japanese version shall always prevail.

Article 9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

1. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
2. Any dispute arising between the Committee and the Resellers in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved upon discussions in good faith between the parties.
3. In the case of Article 9.2 above, if a resolution cannot be reached through discussions, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over such dispute.

Supplementary Provisions
These Terms and Conditions shall come into effect on June 20, 2025.

The Local Organising Committee of World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 Privacy Policy

The Local Organising Committee of World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 ("Committee") is aware of the importance of personal information that the Committee handles in its business operations, and works as follows to appropriately protect personal information in its business, services ("Services") and other activities, and provides this Personal Information Protection Policy (this "Policy").
For the purpose of this Policy, those who are involved in the hosting of World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 ("WCH Tokyo 25") including officers and employees of the Committee, athletes and staff members of the WCH Tokyo 25, spectators of WCH Tokyo 25 (including ticket holders), subscribers or purchasers of mass participation events, purchasers/customers of WCH Tokyo 25’s products/merchandise, users of the Committee's website and application, volunteer staff, press and service providers are hereinafter referred to as "Users/you."
This Policy is prepared in the Japanese language. If there is any discrepancy between the Japanese version of this Policy and the translation into any other language, the provisions of the Japanese version shall prevail.

1. Compliance with laws and regulations, and national policies and other standards
The Committee shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003, "APPI") and other laws and regulations of Japan, EU General Data Protection Regulation No. 2016/679 ("GDPR"), General Data Protection Regulation of the United Kingdom ("UK GDPR"), Personal Information Protection Law of China ("PIPL"), California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the California Consumer Privacy Right Act; "CCPA") and other laws and regulations, national policies and standards regarding the handling of personal information.

2. Types of personal information to be acquired/collected by the Committee
The Committee shall handle personal information which has been legally and duly acquired/collected. For the items of personal information, please see the exhibit. The Committee shall separately obtain your consent when acquiring/collecting your sensitive personal information.

3. Purposes of use of personal information and legal basis of handling
Unless otherwise set forth in any law or regulation, the Committee shall use personal information within the purposes of use specified when acquiring/collecting personal information depending on the type of "User" based on the consent to be separately obtained, or on the performance of contract or legitimate interests. For the purposes of use of personal information of each applicable User, please see the exhibit.

4. Provision of personal information to third parties
The Committee may provide your personal information to the following organisations, business operators and service providers only if it is permitted under the applicable laws and regulations, such as the case where your consent is separately obtained or it is based on the performance of contract or legitimate interests. For the purposes and items of personal information to be used/acquired, please see the exhibit.

 The Committee engages service providers, and providers of marketing services, security services and other services for the provision of the Services, who access and process your personal information to the extent necessary to provide the Services.
 The Committee may provide your personal information to persons related to WCH Tokyo 25, such as governments (including foreign and local governments, health centers and other competent administrative agencies involved in the WCH Tokyo 25), WORLD ATHLETICS, Japan Association of Athletics Federations ("JAAF"), track and field associations of countries of athletes attending the WCH Tokyo 25, official hotels, law enforcement agencies, emergency services and companies related to the WCH Tokyo 25.
 The Committee may provide health and medical information you have provided to the Committee to the medical institutions where you may be transported.
 The Committee may provide your personal information to the related media in order to post information regarding your records on TV programs, newspapers, magazines and the Internet, etc.
 In the case of business succession of the Committee through merger or otherwise, your personal information may be provided to the organisation designated as its successor by the Committee or WORLD ATHLETICS, etc. and persons related to such organisation.
 The Committee may provide your personal information to its affiliated companies, service providers or information collection module provider to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use specified in the exhibit (ex; such as a program for analyzing access and displaying advertisements on the application, and checking the results of such analysis, like Google Analytics.).
The Committee will not sell your personal information to any third parties, nor share your personal information with any third parties for the purpose of cross-context targeting advertising under the CCPA (targeting advertising based on behavioral history across websites).

5. Sources of acquisition/collection of personal information
The Committee shall acquire/collect personal information mainly from the Users directly. However, the Committee may acquire/collect personal information indirectly from (i) organisations / corporations to which you belong or are related, (ii) governments (including foreign and local governments, health centers and other competent administrative agencies involved in the WCH Tokyo 25), WORLD ATHLETICS (including via its Event Management System), WA sponsors, WCH Tokyo 25 sponsors (for these sponsors, provided via WORLD ATHLETICS through use of the Event Management System), JAAF, track and field associations of countries of athletes attending the WCH Tokyo 25, and other organisations related to the WCH Tokyo 25, (iii) business operators of LINE, X, Facebook, Instagram, Google or other social media, (iv) managers of websites and applications other than the Committee, and (v) the service providers listed in "4. Provision of personal information to third parties" above.

6. Transfer of personal information to business operators in third countries
The Committee may transfer your personal information to a third country other than the country where you are domiciled (or outside EU if you are domiciled in EU) to provide the Services ("Cross-border Transfer"). Such third country includes countries where the level of personal information protection is lower than that under the laws and regulations, etc. applicable in the country where you are domiciled including the country of the foreign government listed in "4. Provision of personal information to third parties."
When making a Cross-border Transfer of your personal information to any such country, the Committee shall (i) if you are domiciled in Japan, put in place a system with the person receiving personal information as set forth in Article 28, paragraph 1 of the APPI that conforms to the standards prescribed under the Order of the Personal Information Protection Commission as necessary to continuously take measures in line with Chapter 4, Section 2 of the APPI in an appropriate and reasonable manner in relation to the handling of personal information by such person receiving personal information, (ii) if you are domiciled in the EU, take measures necessary to protect personal information such as concluding standard terms and conditions prescribed in Article 46, paragraph 2 of the GDPR, (iii) if you are domiciled in the United Kingdom, take measures necessary to protect personal information such as concluding standard terms and conditions prescribed in Article 46, paragraph 2 of the UK GDPR, or (iv) if you are domiciled in China, obtain your consent and conclude standard terms and conditions with the person receiving transfer of personal information, then in each case, conduct personal information protection impact assessment in order to understand the risks involved with Cross-border Transfer and to reduce such risks. If you wish to obtain detailed information such as measures necessary to ensure continuous implementation of equivalent measures by third parties or copies of the aforesaid standard terms and conditions, etc., please contact the Committee from the relevant point of contact listed in "17. 7. Management of personal information
The Committee shall accurately and safely manage personal information and take security management measures including appropriate information security measures in order to prevent loss, destruction, falsification and leakage. For details regarding the security management measures that the Committee takes, please contact the Committee from the relevant point of contact listed in "17. Personal information consultation desk."

8. Personal information retention period
The Committee shall retain your personal information for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes of use provided in this Policy.
The retention period of your personal information shall be determined based on (i) whether a continuous relationship with you exists, (ii) whether the Committee is under the obligation to retain your personal information under any law or regulation, and (iii) whether it is necessary to perform the contract with you.
In addition, Personal Information received from WORLD ATHLETICS via its Event Management System will be retained for a period of one month after the event unless the Committee is legally obligated to store it for longer.

9. Handling of personal information of children
The Committee shall not intentionally acquire/collect or dispose of any personal information of a User under the age of 16 without the consent of such User's parent or guardian. Users under the age of 16 shall provide their personal information to the Committee with the consent of their parent or guardian.
The Committee shall also promptly take appropriate measures when it is found that it has acquired/collected personal information of a User under the age of 16 without the consent of such User's parent or guardian.
When a parent or guardian provides the Committee with personal information of a User under the age of 16 on such User's behalf, the parent or guardian shall also consent that the personal information to be acquired directly from such User under the age of 16 in relation to various services that the Committee provides using such personal information shall be also handled in accordance with this Policy. Such various services to be provided by the Committee to Users under the age of 16 using such personal information shall include but not limited to:

 registration, etc. necessary for the preparation of accreditation card;
 adjustment and arrangement of lodgment and transportation, etc.;
 purchase of tickets and goods, etc.;
 online services provided by the Committee such as contents distribution, etc.; and
 optimal advertising through analysis of online and offline behavior history.

10. Rights to disclose, correct, add or delete personal information
In accordance with the applicable laws and regulations (excluding, however, CCPA), you have the rights to:
(1) request access to your personal information;
(2) request deletion of your personal information (right to be forgotten);
(3) request correction of your personal information;
(4) restrict use (suspend processing) of your personal information; and
(5) receive personal information in a structured and machine-readable format if certain conditions are met (right of portability).
These rights may be exceptionally restricted if complying with your request would infringe on the rights of the Committee or a third party, or if required to delete information that the Committee is required to retain in accordance with any law or regulation. Exceptions of these rights are prescribed in the applicable laws and regulations. 11. Right to raise an objection against the handling of personal information
In accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, you may have the right to raise an objection at any time against the handling of personal information that is handled based on legitimate interests. Handling of personal information here includes profiling (meaning analyzing and predicting your behaviors from your information; the same shall apply hereinafter).
If your personal information is used for direct marketing purpose, you may also have the absolute right to refuse direct marketing or profiling for such purpose in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact the Committee from the relevant point of contact listed in "17. Personal information consultation desk."

12. Right to withdraw consent
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time if your personal information is handled by the Committee based on such consent. Such withdrawal of consent shall not affect the legality of any handling based on your consent previously given.

13. Rights of "California residents" to personal information (if the CCPA applies)
If the CCPA applies, and you are a User domiciled in the State of California, you have the following rights. (1) The right to request access to your personal information
You have the right to request the Committee to disclose certain information to you regarding the Committee's acquisition/collection, sharing, disclosure or use of your personal information. Upon receipt of such request from you with identity verifiable document, the Committee shall disclose information listed below in part or in whole to you:
 types of personal information regarding yourself, acquired/collected by the Committee;
 types of sources of personal information regarding yourself, acquired/collected by the Committee;
 business or commercial purpose for which the Committee acquires/collects, sells or shares your personal information;
 types of third parties to whom you disclose personal information; and
 the specific part of personal information regarding yourself acquired/collected by the Committee.
(2) Right to request deletion of your personal information
You have the right to request the Committee to delete your personal information acquired/collected and retained by the Committee unless certain exceptions apply. Upon receipt of such request from you with identity verifiable document, the Committee shall delete your personal information from its records.
(3) Right to request correction of your personal information
You have the right to request the Committee to correct your personal information acquired/collected and retained by the Committee. Upon receipt of such request from you with identity verifiable document, the Committee shall correct any inaccurate personal information of yourself in its records. If the Committee considers that such personal information is highly likely to be correct taking into account the related circumstances comprehensively, it may refuse such request to correct personal information.
(4) Right to opt out of sales/sharing of personal information
The Committee has not sold or shared in the past 12 months and will not sell or share, any personal information acquired/collected from you and it will not sell or share them in the future except that Users personal information will be shared with World Athletics for business analytics purposes and marketing purposes on the basis set out in exhibit.
(5) Right to request restriction on use of sensitive personal information
The Committee will not use or disclose any personal information acquired/collected from you for any purpose other than for the purposes listed below:
 To provide goods and services that average consumers would reasonably expect;
 To support the ensuring of security and completeness;
 For short-time, temporary use (excluding, however, any use for profiling or use that would result in the change of future consumer experience);
 To provide services on behalf of the Committee; and
 To maintain or improve the quality or security of the Committee's services or devices.
(6) Right to not be discriminated against
The Committee shall not discriminate against any User domiciled in the State of California for having exercised such User's own rights under the CCPA.
(7) Exercise of the right to access, right to request deletion or right to request correction
If you wish to exercise any of the right to access, right to request deletion and right to request correction, please contact the Committee from the relevant point of contact listed in "17. Personal information consultation desk" and make a request with identity verifiable document.
Only yourself, a natural person authorized to act on behalf of you, a person registered with the Secretary of the State of California or a person delegated by you, or your guardian for property administration may make a request related to your personal information with identity verifiable document. You may also make a request on behalf of your minor child with identity verifiable document.
A request with identity verifiable document needs to meet the following requirements:
 To provide sufficient information for the Committee to reasonably verify that you are the person from whom the Committee has acquired/collected information or an authorized representative; and
 To explain the request in sufficient detail for the Committee to appropriately understand, assess and address your request./

14. Personal information you need to provide
The Committee will specify the types of personal information you need to provide for the Committee to provide the Services to you when you provide your personal information to the Committee. You are not obliged to provide such personal information, but if you do not do so, the Committee cannot provide the Services to you.

15. Right to file a complaint with the supervisory authorities
In accordance with the applicable laws and regulations, you may have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authorities. The supervisory authority with which you may file a complaint may include the supervisory authority in the place where you are domiciled or work, or an EU member state where a petition for a breach of the GDPR is filed, and the supervisory authority in the United Kingdom.

16. Formulation, implementation, maintenance and improvement of personal information handling rules
The Committee shall formulate personal information handling rules in order to implement this Policy, and make efforts to ensure that its officers and employees are well aware of such rules together with this Policy, and to implement, maintain and improve such rules on an ongoing basis.

The purpose of use of personal information

The personal information held by the Local Organising Committee of World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 (hereinafter referred to as the "LOC") shall be used for the following purposes. However, the use of specified personal information shall be limited to the scope stipulated by the Japanese Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures(hereinafter referred to as the "Act").

・To provide travel expenses, etc., to employees of the Corporation, to take leave (for illness, nursing care, etc.), to calculate the employer's contribution to the mutual aid association, to estimate the premiums for workers' accident compensation insurance, and to conduct medical examinations, etc.;
・To pay remuneration, travel expenses, etc. to directors, auditors, trustees, etc.;
・To manage personnel information (including conflict of interest management), to pay salaries, and to submit various notifications, etc. to employees of the LOC;
・To manage personnel information (including conflict of interest management) of employees belonging to the LOC, including salary payment and various notifications, etc;
・To prepare withholding tax certificates for employment income based on employment contracts regarding personal numbers (Article 2, Paragraph 5 of the Act) and to file health insurance and employee pension insurance notifications based on employment contracts;
・To accept and manage employees and other trainees who are seconded or dispatched to the LOC;
・To perform procedures related to the hiring of employees;
・To respond to consultations and inquiries regarding our services, whistleblowing, complaints, requests, and requests for disclosure of documents and retained personal information in accordance with the Whistleblower Protection Act of Japan and Whistleblower Handling Guidelines of the LOC;
・To commission duties, request lectures, etc., and pay honoraria, travel expenses, etc., to members of committees, etc., established by the LOC;

・To sell tickets, issue accreditation cards and VISA, coordinate accommodation and transportation, sell products, hold events, and provide attendance services at events;
・To coordinate and arrange for the entry, departure, accommodation, transportation, etc., and to pay remuneration, prize money, honoraria, etc., in connection with the invitation of Users to participate in or cooperate with the World Atheletics Championships Tokyo 25 (hereinafter referred to as the "WCH Tokyo25") and related athletic events or other events, to visit venues, exchange opinions, etc.;
・To conduct doping tests;
・To conduct promotional marketing, advertisements, and notices regarding our business and related services, as well as our organization and related organizations;
・To register reservation information and to ensure the safe and smooth management and operation of events;
・To publish records of the WCH Tokyo25, related competitions and other events;
・To provide medical and first-aid services to users and to respond to accidents, including insurance subscription and compensation;
・To request feedback from users on the services provided by the LOC;
・To survey and analyze the usage of our services, and to maintain, protect, and improve our services;
・To conduct scientific surveys or research; and
・To receive personal information or personal related information obtained by our business partners based on your consent to Privacy Policy of the LOC, and to use such information in combination with your personal information already in our possession for the purposes described in the "Purposes of Use of Personal Information".

Items of personal information

The personal information collected by the Local Organising Committee of World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 (hereinafter referred to as the "LOC") includes the following；

・Basic information about the user (name, alias, gender, date of birth, age, address, phone number, e-mail address, name and phone number of emergency contact person and relationship to the person, identification number, passport number, legal domicile, nationality, or country of residence, etc.)
・Personal identification number (as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 5 of the Japanese Act on the Use of Numbers to Identify a Specific Individual in Administrative Procedures), Social Security Number, or other personal identification numbers similar to these in other countries.
・Information about other companies or organisations to which our executives and employees belong, companies or organisations which are managed by or in which our executives and employees are officers, or business partners in which our executives and employees have a personal interest.
・Payment and settlement information (account number, credit card number, etc.)
・Location information
・Biometric information (facial images, voice, fingerprints, etc.)
・Data including surveillance camera images, competition records, mid-competition records, and estimated running position information, etc.
・Information on affiliations, past affiliations, etc. (company name, organisation name, department name, position, educational background, employment history, qualifications, grades, evaluations, awards and punishments, etc.)
・Information related to medical care (health condition, medical history, physical characteristics, whether or not the person is certified as disabled, etc.)
・Information related to social media (accounts, profiles and password information for LINE, X, Facebook, Instagram, or Google)
・Entered information (language settings, mail delivery settings, family status (married or unmarried,has children or not, etc.), kinship, income, hobbies and preferences, transportation routes, tax payment status, details of inquiries, and other information entered or sent by Users using the LOC’s input form or other method prescribed by the LOC (excluding information contained in the above)); and
・Information obtained from the Users’ terminals (type of terminal, OS, terminal identifier, IP address, browser type and other browser information, referrer information, cookie ID, information related to browsing history and purchase history obtained by using cookies and cookie-like technologies, advertising identifiers such as IDFA and Google Play advertising ID, etc.).
